Fifth of May, My birthday
Or my Baptism Day
I don’t know whether
I had butterflies in the stomach!

When I was five and plus
My first day in 1st Std. class
I had butterflies in the stomach!

Primary/High School & College
Waiting for the Board results
Every time…
I had butterflies in the stomach!

Attending interviews..
For my first, second, third
And fourth job.. each time…
I had butterflies in the stomach!

Fourteenth of May,
Our Engagement Day
Twenty fifth of October
Our Wedding Day & exchanging rings..
I had butterflies in the stomach!

Fifth of June..landing up on the Moon
I mean, joining my hubby in Bahrain
Again…
I had butterflies in the stomach!

Seventh of Jan in Bahrain
When our son was born
Amidst the excruciating pain
I had butterflies in the stomach!

Watching our son
Baptized at the Sacred Heart Church, Bahrain
Receiving his First Holy Communion
And Confirmation
I had butterflies in the stomach!

His first day at School
When he was a tiny tot
Giving me such a cool look
Though leaving me in tears
I had butterflies in the stomach!

Unaccompanied on his first flight to Delhi
Watching him sprint towards the plane
Without even a backward glance
I had butterflies in the stomach!

Receiving His First Trophy and Certificates
For Speech Contests & for Sports
Excelling in other subjects too in School,
Always tears welling up in my eyes,
I had butterflies in the stomach!

On Twenty Eighth of May,
His forthcoming Graduation Day
I am beginning to feel…
Huge butterflies in the Stomach!

There are still more events
In the future
And I am sure
I will still have butterflies in the Stomach!
